We make rigorous science understandable, actionable and accessible, so people, clinicians and communities can make better long-term health decisions.
The two statements every program, publication and partnership is measured against.
- 01
Our mission
To make rigorous healthspan and longevity science understandable, actionable and accessible, so people, clinicians and communities can make better long-term health decisions.
- 02
Our vision
A world where everyone can learn from the best evidence on how to live longer in good health, freely, clearly and without hype, and can put it to use in their own lives and communities.
The Human Growth Project turns complex healthspan and longevity research into understandable, practical, evidence-based resources that people and organizations can use.
That means primers, explainers and research summaries, and courses and programs through HGP Academy.
- Educational, and free to learn from
- Reviewed, cited and dated
- Open about funding, sponsors and conflicts of interest
- Accountable for corrections, in public
- A source of medical advice or diagnosis
- A seller of longevity promises or unsupported biomarkers
- Editorially controlled by sponsors
Work that originates with Modern Age is labeled as such wherever it appears on this site, and sponsor involvement is always disclosed.
A karyotype lines the chromosomes up by number, each at its centromere, so a whole genome can be read at a glance. We hold the research to that standard: every claim filed under its source, written in plain words, where anyone can check it.
The volunteer board that governs the Human Growth Project, sets its direction and holds it accountable. Officers are listed first.
The people who run the organization day to day, and the advisors who lend their expertise without a vote on the board.
Every course, program and resource we put out sits under one of three principles, and the best of them join all three. The standard is the same across them: evidence first, plain language, accessible by design and no hype.
